Final Review:

In class, you guys voted on which topics you wanted to eliminate. Focus your studying on the four events that your class selected. Remember, for your final essay, you will be expected to write about each of the four events that your class chose, what the short and long term effects of that event were, and finally which of the four you believe was the most significant historical event of the last sixty years (and why). Think of it like this:

Write one paragraph about each of the four events that defines each of these items and gives specific historical information about them.

Then write at least one (and possibly more) paragraphs that explain, in your opinion, the two "winners" in each round, and then the final "winner" that you consider to be the ultimate, granddaddy of them all, supreme champion, most significant historical event of the last sixty years. The most important part of this section is that you clearly state your arguments. Don't just tell me your choice, tell me why you chose it.

Here are your topics by class:

Period 2
--GI Bill
--Interstate Highway Act
--Election of 2000

Period 4
